Origins

Alameda Internet Marketing began as Bay Area SEO in mid-2010 by Ross Taylor in Alameda, CA. From very humble beginnings as a home based business with only a couple of clients, AIM is now cemented as a part of the local business community and has cultivated a reputation for real results for their clients. Customers come from all business types and include contractors, health professionals, entertainers, professional services, law offices, and more. Practically any business can benefit from a solid and clear internet marketing strategy.

Hi, I’m Ross! I started working on developing my SEO skill set in 2002 after launching a small business website for myself that wasn’t getting any traffic or generating any leadst. Frustration came from seeing competitors seemingly owning the top of the rankings for multiple keywords. After being approached by SEO Companies, I decided to hire a couple to see if I  could get the boost I needed for more online visibility. The results were not good.

A problem with any type of business in the consulting arena is you as a the client must make sure the consultant understands your business, your approach, style, and your target audience. These SEO companies expected me to be overjoyed in hearing the news that we were ranked number on for a term that had little relevance to my products and services, or high rankings for search terms that while may have been accurate received such a small amount of searches it didn’t mean anything.

After wasting some money on these guys, I decided to attempt to crack the SEO code myself. Now with years of research and practical knowledge of how search engine optimization and internet marketing in general works, I’ve successfully launched a number of web properties for myself, but what I really enjoy is helping my clients reach that top spot, push their competitors aside and really grow their business.
